Located just south of Gettysburg along the Emmitsburg Road, the Codori Farm was the scene of extremely heavy fighting between Union and Confederate Armies during the Battle of Gettysburg July 1-3, 1863. Nicholas Codori bought the farm in 1854 and began improving it immediately, including the construction of its two story brick house; only to see it all become damaged on July 2 during a Confederate assault on Union skirmishers and then again the next day, July 3, 1863, during the famous “High Tide of the Confederacy: Pickett’s Charge.”
