For 13 months in 1824 and 1825, the United States honored The Marquis de Lafayette. Hundreds of thousands of Americans greeted Lafayette as parades, banquets and reviews were held almost daily. No individual has ever been so celebrated.

Bruce worked with the American Friends of Lafayette to produce this book. Part of the proceeds go to the organization’s Bicentennial Celebration of Lafayette’s visit to America.
